Mob Psycho 100 Second Season Announced

From the creator of One Punch Man and the studio behind Fullmetal Alchemist, the psychic-powered action comedy Mob Psycho 100 is returning for a second anime season, with staff from the acclaimed first season returning, with Yuzuru Tachikawa (Death Parade) directing, Hiroshi Seko (Aijin) handling series composition and character designs by Yoshimichi Kameda (Japan Animator Expo‘s Chuo Line).

The announcement was made at the “Mob Psycho 100 Reigen – The Miraculous Unknown Psychic” event in Japan this Sunday. The first season of Mob Psycho 100 was broadcast in July 2016 and simulcast by Crunchyroll, where the series is still available to stream. Anime Limited previously announced plans to release the series in 2017, but the status of their license has been in doubt since Sony Picture’s acquisition of Funimation in August 2017.

A Japanese live-action adaptation of Mob Psycho 100 has been acquired for release by Netflix, under their “Originals” brand.
