Anime Limited Acquires Tokyo Ghoul:re, Confirms Crunchyroll Simulcast

Anime Limited continue their streak of Spring 2018 anime announcements. After revealing their license for Lupin the Third Part V, they also announced the license for the next series of Tokyo Ghoul.

Tokyo Ghoul:re will be heading to the UK & Ireland under Anime Limited’s label and will also be available for simulcast on Crunchyroll starting 3rd April (UPDATE: Now up!). Folks in the United States & Canada will be able to watch the series on Funimation & Hulu, while Australia & New Zealand can do the same on AnimeLab.

It is also worth noting that you will need to read the first manga series of Tokyo Ghoul first before jumping right into Tokyo Ghoul:re’s anime adaptation, as the previous two anime seasons will not be canon due to material being cut/altered throughout.

Plot Synopsis via AllTheAnime

Haise Sasaki has been tasked with teaching Qs Squad (note from Anime Ltd: Qs is read as “Quinx”) how to be outstanding investigators, but his assignment is complicated by the troublesome personalities of his students and his own uncertain grasp of his Ghoul powers. Can he pull them together as a team, or will Qs Squad first assignment be their last?

Anime Limited have the rights to the previous Tokyo Ghoul anime titles; Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo Ghoul Root A, Tokyo Ghoul: Jack and Tokyo Ghoul: Pinto; all four of which have been released on Blu-ray and are available to stream on Netflix.
