Mamoru Hosoda’s MIRAI heads to BFI London Film Festival for UK premiere

Can’t wait until the 2nd November release of Mamoru Hosoda’s Mirai? With the announcement of their full line-up today, the prestigous BFI London Film Festival has confirmed that Mamoru Hosoda’s family fantasy will be headed to London a bit earlier – with screenings on 13th and 14th October 2018! Tickets will go on sale to the general public from 10:00am on 13th September.

Synopsis:
The birth of a sibling is a joyous time for many, but not for Kun. Four years old and spoilt rotten, he sees the arrival of baby sister Mirai as competition for his parents’ love. That is, until magical encounters with an older Mirai and family past, present and future send the siblings on an intimate journey through time and space, to confront Kun’s uncertain feelings and prepare him to become the big brother he needs to be.
Helmed by award-winning director Mamoru Hosoda (Wolf Children, The Boy and the Beast stars Moka Kamishiraishi, Haru Kuroki (The Case of Hana & Alice), Gen Hoshino (Night is Short, Walk on Girl) and Kumiko Asou (Miss Hokusai).
Anime Limited and National Amusements will be releasing Mirai in selected cinemas from 2nd November 2018, with English dubbed showings from 4th November.
