Spike Chunsoft Anime Expo 2019 Announcements

Video game publisher Spike Chunsoft has announced three more titles that will join their catalog for the western market during their industry panel over at Anime Expo 2019.

Conception Plus: Maidens of the Twelve Stars

The first announcement is the localisation for the remake of the first Conception video game developed by Spike & Spike Chunsoft. It will be available for PlayStation 4 and PC in Europe on 8th November 2019 with voice-over support in both English & Japanese as well as English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese text.

The remake features a number of adjustments from the original PlayStation Portable release back in 2012, including changes done to the heroine Mahiru who has a different personality than before. The remake was released in Japan on 31st January 2019.

An anime adaptation of the first game by studio GONZO aired in October 2018 with Crunchyroll streaming the subbed version and Funimation streaming the dubbed version.

Robotics;Notes Elite & Robotics;Notes DaSH

The second and third announcements are the localisation for two more Science Adventure visual novel titles, with the Robotics;Notes games. Both will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC in 2020.

Robotics;Notes Elite is an enhanced version of the original visual novel which was brought over to PlayStation Vita in 2014. Robotics;Notes DaSH is a continuation of the previous installment which was released in Japan on 31st January 2019.

Robotics;Notes and Robotics;Notes DaSH are the 3rd and 6th installments in the Science Adventure franchise, which also includes Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, Chaos;Child, and Steins;Gate 0. The latter three have been localised and released in the western markets, while all four have received anime adaptations.

An anime adaptation of the first game by studio Production I.G aired in October 2012 with Funimation streaming both the subbed and dubbed versions. Manga Entertainment released the series on Blu-ray and DVD for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

That’s all of the announcements from Spike Chunsoft. They also have a couple more Japanese video games scheduled for Europe later in 2019 with AI: The Somnium Files, CRYSTAR, and the 2017 remake of YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of this World.
