My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising Gets UK 2020 Release

Following the success of last year’s My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, distributor Manga Entertainment have announced today that the popular superhero franchise’s second original film My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, will be released in cinemas in the UK and Ireland in 2020!

Heroes Rising follows the students of Class 1-A as they work to build a legacy in the shadow of All Might’s retirement. However, a group of new villains throw a wrench into those plans, forcing a team-up of heroic proportions for all of our favourite heroes-in-training.

The creative team from the TV anime series are returning for the new film, with Kenji Nagasaki (Gundam Build Fighters) directing a script by Yōsuke Kuroda (Goblin Slayer), with the manga’s author Kohei Horikoshi acting as supervisor.

The film is currently set to be released in Japan on 20th December 2019. The fourth season of My Hero Academia is currently being simulcast on Crunchyroll and Funimation Now.
