Cast Your Vote in the Anime UK News 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards!

It’s that time of the year again! Now that you’re getting comfortable with the first anime of the new decade and the Oscars are behind us, it’s time for us to pull up the rug from underneath and ask you to look back at the anime of last year, for the awards that really matter: the third annual Anime UK News Readers’ Choice Awards!

Before we jump right in and make you choose between your favourite anime of last year, here’s a few notes to keep in mind:

Nominations:

The main nominations have been voted on by the Anime UK News editorial and writing team, but if you think we’ve missed a choice that really deserves the award, you can submit your pick with the “Other” option! Selected categories will also be exclusively open write-ins!

Eligibility:

All anime, manga and light novels first released in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland between 1st January – 31st December 2019 are eligible.

    1. TV Series and Films are eligible for all anime categories, with exception of their specific ones.
    2. New seasons and ongoing series are eligible for nomination (i.e. My Hero Academia Season 4 anime, and the ongoing manga).
    3. Anime titles released on home video in 2019 that were previously available on other platforms in years prior are only eligible for Best Home Video Release.
      1. New editions of older manga and light novel series are eligible if the title has been out-of-print for a considerable time.
  1. To be eligible for Best Anime Film, a feature length anime must have either received a general theatrical release, or been screened at a film festival or event in the United Kingdom and/or Republic of Ireland.
