Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2022 winners revealed

Attack on Titan won “Anime of the Year” in this year’s Crunchyroll Anime Awards, but Demon Slayer won the most awards overall.

It was perhaps, not surprisingly, the shonen fight-series that did best across the night. Demon Slayer picked up seven prizes this year, including “Best Animation”, “Best Score”, “Best Film”. Six awards went to Jujutsu Kaisen, among them “Best Character Design” and “Best Action”.

Attack on Titan won four awards, including the biggest award on the night. The series had made news due to lead character Eren Jaeger being nominated for both “Best Protagonist” and “Best Antagonist”. He won the latter, with “Best Protagonist” going to Odokawa from ODDTAXI. ODDTAXI’s only other win went to Baku Kinoshita for “Best Director”.
