Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train to Release Digitally this Month

After a record-breaking run in cinemas, Funimation have today announced the first stage of Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train‘s home release, with the next chapter in Shonen JUMP’s dark fantasy phenomenon coming to digital storefronts on Monday 26th July 2021. The film will be available to purchase on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Sky Store, PlayStation, and Microsoft.

The film can currently be pre-ordered on the Microsoft store for £9.99, with separate listings for the English dubbed and Japanese subbed versions. Responding to users on Twitter, Funimation were unable to confirm whether Demon Slayer: Mugen Train will be made available on their streaming service, where it has been available in North America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand since last month. A DVD and Blu-ray release in territories where Funimation have licensed the film have yet to be announced.

Funimation describes the story of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train as follows:

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train picks up right where the anime left off, and sees Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke embark on a new mission.

Together with one of the most powerful swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, they investigate the mysterious disappearance of over 40 people aboard the Mugen Train.
