Demon Slayer: Mugen Train to Stream on Funimation Next Week

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- the Movie: Mugen Train, the record-breaking big screen chapter of the hit dark fantasy series, will be streaming on Funimation’s streaming platform in the UK & Ireland from 30 August 2021, the distributor announced today.

The first feature film adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge’s Weekly Shonen JUMP manga series, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train follows on from the events of the television series as Tanjiro and friends are tasked with assisting the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku after multiple demon-related disappearances are reported on board a train.

The film was previously released in cinemas on 26th May 2021, where it grossed over £1 Million to become the UK’s highest grossing anime film in twenty years. It was also subsequently released for purchase on digital platforms on 26th July 2021.

A home video release for the movie has yet to be announced. The first season of the anime series is available on Blu-ray courtesy of Anime Limited, with a second season following the events of Mugen Train slated to premiere later this year.
