Anime Limited Reveals October 2021 Pre-Order Schedule with Black Lagoon Collection, Demon Slayer Season 1 Standard Blu-rays and Josee, the Tiger & the Fish

UK distributor Anime Limited announced their next batch of home video release plans during the late night on Wednesday 6th October, which focused on the remainder of this month and their upcoming early bird offers.


Starting off the month already at a £34.99 offer (£59.99 SRP) was Sword Art Online Alicization -War of Underworld- Part 2 on Blu-ray in a collector’s edition package.

The package includes a rigid box with digipack to house the two Blu-ray discs, and a 44-page Booklet. This set will slot inside the outer box included in Part 1’s collector’s edition release. Part 2 of the discs feature episodes 13 to 23 plus the Episode 12.5 recap with English & Japanese audio with English subtitles.

The official release date is 13th December 2021.

Available starting 8th October at a £34.99 offer each (£39.99 SRP each) is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 1 on Blu-ray, re-released in standard edition parts.

The collector’s edition Blu-rays for both parts of the series were released last December and last May respectively. Part 1 covers episodes 1-13 and Part 2 covers episodes 14-26, both presented with English & Japanese audio with English subtitles.

The disc specs listed on the AllTheAnime store match the collector’s edition release, which includes the on-disc features that are not present in the Funimation standard edition such as Audio Commentaries and more.

The official release dates are 29th November 2021 for Part 1 and 13th December 2021 for Part 2.

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.

Available starting 15th October at a £51.99 offer each (£69.99 SRP each) is Black Lagoon on Blu-ray in a limited edition package.

The package includes a rigid box with a digipack to house the five Blu-ray discs, a 20-page Booklet and a landscape poster. The collection covers all 12 episodes of Black Lagoon: The First Barrage, all 12 episodes of Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage, and all 5 OVA episodes of Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail with English & Japanese audio with English subtitles.

The distributor has not specified any more details regarding the discs, but the disc count matches the previous UK Blu-ray release distributed by KAZE UK which had no on-disc content and audio drop-out issues.

The official release date is 29th November 2021.

Available starting 29th October at a £29.99 offer each (£44.99 SRP each) is Josee, the Tiger & the Fish on Blu-ray in a collector’s edition package.

The package includes a rigid box with a digipack to house the Blu-ray disc and the film’s original soundtrack on CD. Also included in the set is a 72-page book with interviews from the film’s production crew, a booklet replicating the children’s book featured in the film, and a map of Osaka with key locations the characters visited highlighted. In addition the distributor stated they’re “recreating practically all of the contents from the Japanese Limited Edition release.” The film is presented in English & Japanese audio with English subtitles.
