Tatsuki Fujimoto’s “LOOK BACK” To Release in UK Cinemas Next Friday

After making waves in North America that propelled the film to Letterboxd’s Official Top 250 Narrative Films list, the feature film adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Look Back is releasing in cinemas in the UK this coming Friday 25th October, courtesy of distributor K-Movie Entertainment.

A coming-of-age story that resonates with the creative spirit, Look Back is adapted from the one-shot manga of the same name by Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto.

K-Movie describes the film’s story as follows:

The overly confident Fujino and the Shut-in Kyomoto couldn’t be more different. Their love of drawing manga is the one thing connecting these contrary girls. One day, however, something happens to them that shatters everything… A heart-wrenching and impactful story of growing up.

K-Movie Entertainment confirmed to Anime UK News that the film will be shown at participating Cineworld, Vue and Picturehouse Cinemas.

Look Back was directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama at Studio Durian, and was released in Japan in June. The film received universal acclaim following its North American release in October, and is currently rated 100% on the popular film aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes.

The film is also slated to be shown at this year’s Scotland Loves Anime festival in November, at the festival’s events in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London.
