Kokkoku: Moment by Moment throws in a lot of interesting ideas around the consequences of stopping time, life and death amidst a cat-and-mouse game plot that sees one woman try to rescue her family from a crazed religious cult. However, it fails to execute on its potential as it struggles with poor pacing, gaping plot holes, and finding an ending for its characters.

While Dai Shogun's backstory speaks of some potential, it ends up going nowhere with its harem plot, with fanservice that is played too straight to be funny, while its animation leaves a lot to be desired.

Welcome to the Ballroom applies the sports anime formula to competitive ballroom dancing with great success, filling the screen with beautiful dance work and character drama. Despite Anime Limited's release being very bare-bones, this is show anyone can have a lot of fun with.

The first season of My Hero Academia gets the series off to a solid start, telling Midoriya’s origin story and introducing many of the series’ popular characters with style.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is a thrilling action film, pitting Goku and Vegata against the hulking Broly with some great animation work and a solid backstory that eases in newcomers to the franchise. For all its outrageous action that fans will love, those coming into this fresh will find the elongated fight scenes go on for far too long, perhaps resulting in them switching off in its final moments.
