Fairy Tale the Movie: The Maiden of the Phoenix Teaser

The Japanese movie site Cinema Today uploaded  teaser trailer for the forthcoming Fairy Tale movie adaptation.

Synopsis

The Fairy Tail wizard’s guild find themselves in an adventure to save the magical world when a mysterious girl named Éclair approaches them claiming  to have lost all of her memories save for the one connected to delivering two extremely powerful artefacts: the Phoenix Stones

The VA’s for the television series are returning for the movie with Tetsuya Kakihara (Simon in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) voicing Natsu, Rie Kugimiya (Maya in Burn Up Scramble and Alphonse in FMA: Brotherhood) voicing Happy, and  Yūichi Nakamura Tomoya in Clannad, and Gai in Guilty Crown) voicing Gray Fullbuster.

The director is Masaya Fujimori who has had a long career working as an animation director on titles like Doreamon, Inu Yasha, and Spirit of Wonder. Masashi Sogo is handling the screenplay and he has worked on the Fairy Tail TV anime, Gantz, Great Teacher Onizuka, and Hunter X Hunter. Music comes courtesy of Yasuharu Takanashi who has also worked on Gantz, Hell Girl, Shiki, and Mononoke.

The movie adaptation of Fairy Tail will be released in Japan on the 18th of August.
