Rumiko Takahashi releases Inu Yasha story to support earthquake charity

Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine this week has a one-shot Inu Yasha story by Rumiko Takahashi to support the an Earthquake charity, 8 years after the series finale.

The story takes place six months after the final chapter of the series, a new danger emerges to break the peace in Inu Yasha, Kagome and the others. The story plot can be read here.

This Inu Yasha story is part of the “Heroes come back” anthology book, which will be released next March, with all royalties and proceeds to be donated to helping restor the areas affected by the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami disaster.

Other mangaka taking part on the project are Hiromu Arakawa (Fullmetal Alchemist), Masami Yuuki (Mobile Police Patlabor, Birdy the Mighty), and Kazuhiro Fujita (Ushio to Tora) which are all drawing new stories reviving their famous series for the Heroes Come Back anthology.
