Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment Due Out On 20th August

While Japan often sees numerous video game titles based on anime or manga properties released, it’s almost an accepted universal fact that they will never be localised and released abroad. Sometimes though, we do find that proverbial needle in the haystack and this time, it’s courtesy of Bandai Namco Games.

Earlier this year, they announced that they will be releasing Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment in Europe and North America as a digital exclusive title for Sony’s PlayStation Vita. Today, they announced via Twitter that the game will be released on the PlayStation Store in Europe on 20th August 2014. The game will also be packaging in the PSP title Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment.

Manga Entertainment UK released the first season of the anime on DVD and Blu-ray, while Yen Press are publishing the original novels. A second season is due to begin airing this weekend and will be simulcast by both Crunchyroll and Daisuki.
