Love Stage!! manga to be released by Viz Media

The original manga of comedy yaoi series Love Stage!! is to released in English by Viz Media under their SuBLime boys’ love imprint.

The news was announced at the Yaoi-Con convention in on Saturday, who also revealed they will be releasing other titles, including new volumes of current series Hide and Seek, Starting with a Kiss and Embracing Love.

Love Stage!! follows otaku Izumi Sena, a boy from a celebrity family who does not want to follow their showbiz path. Instead he wants to make manga, despite his total lack of artistic talent. He eventually takes up one showbiz job, starring in a sequel to a TV advert he appeared in as a child. His co-star is big-name actor Ryoma Ichijo, but Ryoma is under the assumption that Izumi is a girl. When Ryoma discovered the truth, he eventually begins to form romantic feelings for Izumi.

The first volume will be released both in print and digitally in May 2015. An anime version of Love Stage!! was recently streamed on Crunchyroll and is currently still available to watch. The anime has been licenced in USA by Sentai Filmworks. For Anime UK News’s review of the series, see here.

Amongst SuBLime’s other new releases they are to bring out digital only releases of Ginger Honey (sequel to Natsume’s Devil’s Honey) in February 2015; The Night Beyond the Tricorner Window in March 2015; and Special Delivery (first English language release by Akutagawa) in April 2015.

In returning print titles, the third volume of Hide and Seek is now scheduled for March 2015; the third volume of Starting with a Kiss for June 2015; and the third omnibus (Volume 5-6) of Embracing Love in August 2015.
