ID-0 Anime Series Launches Onto Netflix This October

It’s been a while since we last heard of this CG series, but now there’s a new update!

Back in the Spring 2017 season there was a CG animated series called ID-0 that debuted, but nobody watched it because Netflix acquired the worldwide streaming rights – essentially making it part of their Originals line-up. Now Netflix have announced their October release slate and to the surprise of everyone, the series has showed up!

ID-0 will be available in its entirely (all 12 episodes) starting 6th October 2017. And if its anything like the other Netflix Anime Originals, expect a possible English dub as well. The opening song sounds really cool, so let’s hope the show gets the audience it deserves when it becomes legally available. The anime is animated by studio SANZIGEN, who also worked on Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova and Bubuki Buranki. Gorou Taniguchi, the creator of Code Geass, will also be directing the series.

“I-Machines” are the general term for robots that operate in extreme environments. While Alliance Academy student Mikuri Maya is in the middle of operating an I-Machine, she gets involved in an incident with pirates, and ends up serving as a crew member on an excavation company’s spaceship.
