Crunchyroll to simulcast Ace of the Diamond: Act II, Bakumatsu Crisis, and More

Streaming service Crunchyroll have announced their first batch of anime from the Spring 2019 season. These shows will be simulcasted in original Japanese audio with subtitles.

The announced shows were Ace of the Diamond: Act IIBakumatsu Crisis, The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Theater Climax Season and Shonen Ashibe: Go! Go! Goma-chan Season 4; the streaming territories are noted down below for each respective anime. The latter two anime series are also short-form, meaning each episode will be around 5-10 minutes length.

Ace of the Diamond: Act II (Diamond no Ace: Act II) is an adaptation of Yuuji Terajima’s 2015 manga series. The anime is animated by studio Madhouse and directed by Mitsuyuki Masuhara. The first episode will air on Tuesdays at 10:55am UK time.

Crunchyroll will be streaming the series in territories worldwide except for Asia.

Second-year Sawamura Eijun finally makes his first appearance at the spring invitational! He wants to restore Seido’s reputation as a first-rate team and make them national champions! The Seido baseball team’s new run is about to begin!

Bakumatsu Crisis (Renai Bakumatsu Kareshi Crisis) is an adaptation of FuRyu’s 2017 video game. The anime is the second season for Bakumatsu, both of which were animated by studio Deen with this season directed by Mitsutoshi Sato. The first episode will air on Thursday April 4th at 9:30pm UK time.

Crunchyroll will be streaming the series in territories United States, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Central and South America.

The chronometer is a legendary treasure that has the power to manipulate time. The Susanoo Incident unfolded in the capital of Kyoto and ended with the death of the masked shogun, Mugensai.

Having finished visiting the grave of his former master, Yoshida Shoin, Takasugi Shinsaku and his partner, Katsura Kogoro, return to Kyoto once again. Suddenly, the earth trembles and the sky splits open, and the chronometer, which was supposed to have been destroyed, appears from a rift in space-time.

Now with a will of its own, the chronometer starts going on an uncontrollable rampage!!

The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Theater Climax Season is based on Cygames and Bandai Namco Studios’ idol video game series. The anime is animated by studios Gathering and Lesprit, and directed by Mankyuu. The first episode will air on Tuesdays at 1:55pm UK time.

Shonen Ashibe: Go! Go! Goma-chan Season 4 is an adaptation of Hiromi Morishita’s 1988 manga series. The anime is animated by studios Bridge and Husio Studio, and directed by Nobuhiro Kondo. The first episode will air on Tuesdays at 12:00pm UK time.

A comedy manga, “Shonen Ashibe,” that follows the friendship between baby spotted seal Goma-chan and first-grade student Ashiya Ashibe. First serialized in 1988 and adapted to anime in 1991, the adorable Goma-chan created a massive following and a spotted seal boom. This spring, Goma-chan returns to “Tentere Anime.” A cute, pleasant story of Ashibe and Goma-chan and their unusual school and their neighbors. Sometimes endearing, sometimes bizarre, it’s a fun anime for the whole family!
