Anime Limited Reveals More Gundam for the UK with Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, New Gundam 00 Info & More

The first day of MCM London Comic Con in May 2019 has arrived and we have UK distributor Anime Limited to start off the line-up of news and announcements once again. The news comes from their AllTheAnime panel that began on Friday 24th May at 3:15 pm.

The first big announcement is an update on Mobile Suit Gundam 00, which was previously revealed back in May 2018. The license covers Seasons 1 & 2, the OVA Special Edition and the Movie A Wakening of the Trailblazer. At this panel, they had confirmed there will be two editions available; a collector’s edition Blu-ray for each season (noted as Parts 1 & 2) at SRP £59.99, and a deluxe edition Blu-ray containing the entire Gundam 00 franchise at a provisional SRP £199.99. The details are currently not final for the deluxe edition, but both editions are currently scheduled for Q3/Q4 2019 (July-December period).

Also coming to the UK once again is Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack. Char’s Counterattack concludes the Amuro & Char storyline in the Universal Century timeline, taking place after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Movie Trilogy, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. The film will be released as a collector’s edition Blu-ray currently scheduled for Q3/Q4 2019 (July-December period) at SRP £34.99.

The third Gundam coming to the UK is Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: Bandit Flower, a continuation to Thunderbolt December Sky. Bandit Flower is a theatrical film compilation of the ONA series’ second season. The film will be released as a collector’s edition Blu-ray currently scheduled for Q3/Q4 2019 (July-December period) at SRP £34.99.

Another Gundam series that’s returning to the UK is Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. Like Gundam 00, there will be two editions available; a collector’s edition Blu-ray for each part at SRP £59.99, and a deluxe edition Blu-ray containing the entire Gundam Wing franchise at a provisional SRP £179.99. The details are currently not final for the deluxe edition, but both editions are currently scheduled for Q3/Q4 2019 (July-December period).

That concludes the Gundam news revealed at the panel. All of the Gundam titles announced (with the exception of Gundam 00 Special Edition) will include both the English dub and original Japanese audio with English subtitles on the Blu-ray format.
