Edens Zero to be adapted as an anime

Edens Zero, the science fantasy manga from Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima, is to be turned in a TV anime series.

Mashima posted on Twitter that: “EDENS ZERO is getting an anime release! Stay tuned for incoming updates!”

The series debuted in 2018, with the manga published in print and digitally by Kodansha. Set in a fictional universe called the Sakura Cosmos, the story revolves around a group of companions: Rebecca Bluegarden, an online video creator, her cybernetic cat friend Happy (similar to Happy from Fairy Tail), and Shiki Granbell, who has the power to control a magical “Ether” source to manipulate gravity. Together, they gather more companions and gain control of the space ship Edens Zero, which they use in order to try and find the goddess of the cosmos, known as Mother, who is capable of granting wishes to those who find her.
