Overall this live action adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul is an enjoyable watch. It doesn’t necessarily have the same pull as the original manga or its anime adaption but for existing fans it’s interesting to see the story adapted in a different way.
Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers starts off with a straightforward “chosen heroes gather to defeat the big evil” plot, but actually spends most of its 12 episode run on a “whodunnit?” plotline, and frankly ended up all the better for it. Let’s see why… without spoiling too much!
Night is Short is a real treat for fans of Tatami Galaxy, but even if you’re a newcomer there is definitely plenty to enjoy here. With a quirky and whimsical way of storytelling, the film is sure to win your heart.
Without putting a single foot wrong, Hyouka works to capture your heart and entertain you with a strong cast of characters and well thought out scenarios. If you’re a slice of life fan or even just a Kyoto Animation fan, this series is for you.
