Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle heads to Netflix on 18th July 2018
Polygon Pictures and Netflix Japan have announced Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle (Godzilla: Kessen Kidou Zoushoku Toshi), will be available on the service starting 18th July 2018 in multiple dub and subtitle languages worldwide.
This is the second film in a new trilogy from animation studio Polygon Pictures (Knights of Sidonia), writer Gen Urobuchi (Fate/Zero) and co-directed by both Koubun Shizuno (Knights of Sidonia) and Hiroyuki Seshita (Ajin: Demi-Human). City on the Edge of Battle was theatrically released in Japan on 18th May 2018.
If you have yet to watch the first part of the trilogy, it’s available to watch on Netflix.
The trilogy features a lot of well-known Japanese VAs including Mamoru Miyano (Steins;Gate), Takahiro Sakurai(Code Geass), Kana Hanazawa (Monogatari), Yuuki Kaji (Attack on Titan), Tomokazu Sugita (Gintama), Junichi Suwabe (My Hero Academia), Daisuke Ono (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) and many more voicing the film’s characters.
The third and final film is currently slated for release in Japanese theaters near the end of 2018.
