Manga UK To Release The Ancient Magus’ Bride, Mob Psycho 100 & More

In a surprise announcement today, anime distributor Manga Entertainment UK have announced their license of popular titles The Ancient Magus’ Bride, Mob Psycho 100, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card and more!

The Ancient Magus’ Bride

Hatori Chise has lived a life full of neglect and abuse, devoid of anything resembling love. Far from the warmth of family, she has had her share of troubles and pitfalls. Just when all hope seems lost, a fateful encounter awaits her. When a man with the head of a beast, wielding strange powers, obtains her through a slave auction, Chise’s life will never be the same again. The man is a “magus,”a sorcerer of great power, who decides to free Chise from the bonds of captivity. The magus then makes a bold statement: Chise will become his apprentice–and his bride!

The Ancient Magus’ Bride won the 2017 Anime UK News Readers Choice Awards for Best Animation, and was a joint winner for Best Soundtrack. The original manga, of which the anime is based, also won the awards for Best Ongoing Manga Series, Best Art and Best Writing.

Cardcaptor: Clear Card

Sakura had managed to capture all of the Clow Cards which could bring disaster to the world and turned them into her own Sakura Cards. Now it’s spring. With cherry trees in full blossom, Sakura is just entering middle school. Her beloved Syaoran has returned from Hong Kong, and Sakura was thrilled to be going to school with him again. But one night, something strange happens to her Cards… On top of that, strange things keep happening in Tomoeda. Guided by the Key she encountered in her dream, Sakura starts collecting Cards again. And then, a new girl transfers into her class…

The original manga for Cardcaptor: Clear Card was the runner-up for Best New Manga in the 2017 Anime UK News Readers Choice Award.

However, if bitten by one of these monsters, the victim is doomed to a fate worse than death, as the fallen rise once more to join the ranks of their fellow undead.

Mob Psycho 100 was previously announced by Anime Limited at MCM London Comic Con in October 2016, prior to the company losing several licenses after the end of their distribution partnership with Funimation Entertainment.
