The End Is Not the End with Seven Seas’ License of NEON GENESIS EVANGELION: ANIMA Light Novels

Evangelion light novels! A new title from Nagabe (The Girl from the Other Side)! The final five new manga and light novel licenses have been announced by Seven Seas Entertainment. But if you haven’t spotted the title you were hoping for this time around, don’t forget their upcoming January survey in which you can make your own suggestions.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA by Ikuto Yamashita, Takeru Kageyama, and Hiroyuki Utatane, a light novel series exploring an alternate ending to one of the most influential anime series of all time!

What would have happened if the Human Instrumentality Project — from the final two episodes of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion anime — had never reached fruition? This official light novel series explores just that, allowing Shinji Ikari and the pilots around him to age three years and face a different future. This alternate ending began serialization in Japan a decade ago, and remains the only light novel series for the legendary franchise. With the original 1990s anime series having its very first streaming release on Netflix in Spring 2019, these light novels are a perfect expansion for fans new and old.

Seven Seas will publish the light novel series Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA for the first time in North America in print and on digital platforms in single volume editions. Volume 1 will be released on October 29, 2019 for $13.99 USA / $16.99 CAN.

Also announced are manga series The Brave-Tuber by Takahito Oosaki and Ikuro, the hilarious sword-and-sorcery manga where heroes fight monsters for gold, glory…and online subscribers! (September 10, 2019)

The manga series Nicola Traveling Around the Demon’s World by Asaya Miyanaga, a kid-friendly adventure about a young girl and her demonic pal exploring a fascinating world (note this is suitable for All Ages). October 22, 2019.

And, linking with the earlier announcements, comes Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Zero light novels in print! This backstory series by Ryo Shirakome and Takayaki is published digitally by J-Novel Club, with Seven Seas to publish the paperback editions., starting on September 3rd 2019.
