Today is a glorious day for purveyors of refined culture, as distributor MVM Entertainment confirmed a number of new licenses, and a much-anticipated return of a previously released title, via listings on their Anime-On-Line store.
Ufotable’s dark fantasy film series The Garden of Sinners is finally coming to Blu-ray on 16th September 2019, five years after the distributor first released the 8-part series on DVD. The box set will include a 36-page booklet, 14 postcards featuring art by original character designer Takashi Takeuchi and anime character designer Sudo Tomonori, with each film stored inside its own amaray, in a rigid box. The set has a listed SRP of £119.99, and is available to order on their store for £83.99 (NOTE: Anime-On-Line charge for pre-purchases at the time of order).
After spending two years in a coma due to a traffic accident, Shiki Ryougi awakens with amnesia. In turn, however, she finds that she has also obtained the “Mystic Eyes of Death Perception,” with which she can see the invisible lines of mortality that hold every living and non-living thing together. Working for a small independent agency, Shiki attempts to unravel the baffling mystery behind a series of abnormal, horrifying incidents, but do they foreshadow something even more tragic and ominous?

Adapted from the light novel series by Oreimo author Tsukasa Fushimi, MVM Entertainment also revealed plans to release the romantic comedy series Eromanga Sensei on Blu-ray, with Part 1 (Episodes 1-6) releasing exclusively on the format on 2nd September 2019. MVM previously released Oreimo on DVD in 2016.

Continuing their commitment to the ever-popular Fate franchise, MVM have also confirmed plans to release Fate/Apocrypha Part 1 on 30th September, compiling the first 12 episodes of A-1 Pictures’ series. The series is currently available for streaming on Netflix.

The Black Faction seized the Greater Grail for the sake of the clan’s most earnest wish to symbolize its independence from the Mage’s Association. Taking place in Trifas, Romania, the Great Holy Grail War that takes place between 14 Heroic Spirits summoned by the two factions transforms thanks to Shirou Kotomine, one of the Masters of the Red, who is also the Overseer for this Great War.
Bringing another light novel adaptation to our shores, the company will also be releasing a high school fantasy battle anime from the studio behind Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, Chivalry of a Failed Knight. The 2015 series will be released as a complete Blu-ray collection on 26th August 2019.
Ikki Kurogane may have come from a long line of Blazers, people with the ability to create weapons or devices manifested from their souls, but as far as the Hagun Academy is concerned, he’s been a major disappointment in the magical powers department. Previously released on Blu-ray by MVM in 2017, the ’90s iconic dark fantasy anime Berserk will be re-released as a Steelbook collection on 9th September.
Other new additions to the distributor’s Q3 2019 slate include the supernatural comedy Devils and Realists, with the 2013 anime by Doga Koba (Himouto! Umaru-chan) releasing on 23rd September and J.C. Staff’s historical harem Dai-Shogun on 19th August.
