Anime Limited Announces Re:ZERO Standard Editions, Part 1 Replacement Scheme

Anime Limited have finally confirmed plans for their Re:ZERO -Starting Life In Another World- Part 1 Blu-ray disc replacement scheme, which was first announced in April. News of the scheme surfaced after various English-language releases of the series were noted to have considerable banding and other visual artefacts affecting the releases’ picture quality.

Replacement discs are estimated to be sent out in mid-to-late August 2019. To sign up to the replacement scheme, simply email [email protected] with the subject header “Re:ZERO Part 1 Replacement Discs”, including your name and address in the body of the email. Then, you will receive a reply acknowledging your participation and instructions on where to send your faulty discs. Anime Limited have noted however, that postage costs will not be refunded or reimbursed by the company.

The August estimate ties into the planned Standard Edition release of the series, with both volumes slated for release on 19th August 2019, with the Standard Edition of Part 1 using the newer disc master. This follows the quick sell-through of the Part 2 Blu-ray Collector’s Edition, which is now Out of Print. For those wishing to purchase the Part 1 Collector’s Edition however, Anime Limited’s online store have discounted the release to £34.99 until Thursday 25th July 2019.
