Crunchyroll Reveals First Batch of Autumn 2019 Anime Simulcasts

As the Summer 2019 anime season is coming to a close, the Autumn 2019 anime season is now approaching within the next few weeks. Crunchyroll had already begun to announce what they have in store for their simulcast slate.

These shows were mostly revealed early on (mostly thanks to their appearances at Crunchyroll Expo) but we will be recapping them here as a quick reminder. Region specs will also be mentioned when available for those interested.

Ascendance of a Bookworm

(Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen)

Based on the isekai light novel series written by Miya Kazuki, it will be adapted by Ajia-Do for a total of 14 episodes. The anime will stream new episodes weekly starting Wednesday 2nd October at 5:30pm BST for territories worldwide outside of Asia.

Bananya and the Curious Bunch

(Bananya: Fushigi na Nakama-tachi)

The original anime series returns for a second season by TMS Entertainment and Gathering. The anime will stream new episodes weekly starting Tuesday 1st October at 12:30am BST for territories worldwide outside of Asia. The first season is available to stream subbed on Crunchyroll.

Chihayafuru Season 3

Based on the manga series written by Yuki Suetsugu, Madhouse returns to animate the third anime season for a total of 24 episodes. Territories have yet to be revealed but are expected to be available across all English speaking territories. The show is estimated to begin airing on Wednesday 23rd October, but you can watch the first two seasons available on Crunchyroll right now.

CHOYOYU!: High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World!

(Choujin Koukousei-tachi wa Isekai demo Yoyuu de Ikinuku you desu!)

Based on the isekai light novel series written by Riku Misora, it will be adapted by Project No.9. The anime will stream new episodes weekly starting Thursday 3rd October at 3:00pm BST for territories worldwide outside of Asia. An English dub is in the works.

Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!

(Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne!)

Based on the isekai light novel series written by FUNA, it will also be adapted by Project No.9. The anime will stream new episodes weekly starting Monday 7th October for territories worldwide outside of Asia. An English dub is in the works.

Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front – Babylonia

(Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia)

Based on the highly popular mobile video game series by Type-Moon, the Babylonia story arc will be adapted by CloverWorks. The anime will be available for territories North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Ireland with Episode 0 available to watch right now. Episode 1 will commence airing on Saturday 5th October. The series has been licensed by Aniplex of America for streaming.

UPDATE: Crunchyroll will be streaming at least 30 days after Funimation starts simulcasting the series. This was revealed during the recent news between Sony and Anime Lab, Aniplex, Funimation, and Wakanim.

Food Wars! The Fourth Plate

(Shokugeki no Souma: Shin no Sara)

Based on the shonen jump manga series written by Yūto Tsukuda, J.C.Staff returns to animate the fourth anime season. Territories have yet to be revealed but are expected to be the same as the third season. The show is estimated to begin airing on Friday 11th October, but you can watch the first three seasons available on Crunchyroll right now.

Radiant Season 2

Based on the French Manfra series written by Tony Valente, Lerche returns to animate the second anime season for a total of 21 episodes. The anime will stream new episodes weekly starting Wednesday 2nd October at 2:00pm BST for territories worldwide outside of Japan and China. An English dub will be available on simuldub over on Funimation. The first season is available to stream subbed on Crunchyroll and dubbed on Funimation right now.

Sword Art Online -Alicization-: War of Underworld

Based on the isekai light novel series written by Reki Kawahara, A-1 Pictures returns to animate the second half of the Alicization story arc for a total of 24 episodes. The anime will be available for territories North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and Ireland when it begins airing on Saturday 12th October. You can watch the first two seasons and the Alicization anime’s first half available on Crunchyroll right now. The series has been licensed by Aniplex of America for streaming.

We Never Learn: BOKUBEN Season 2

(Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai 2)

Based on the shonen jump manga series written by Taishi Tsutsui, Silver and Arvo Animation returns to animate the second anime season. The anime will be available for territories North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and Ireland when it begins airing on Friday 11th October. Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun

(Mairimashita! Iruma-kun)

Based on the manga series written by Osamu Nishi, it will be adapted by Bandai Namco Pictures for a total of 23 episodes. The anime will be available for territories worldwide outside of Asia when it begins airing on Saturday 5th October.

Also coming to Crunchyroll is the feature-length anime film Black Fox by studio 3Hz which will be available for territories worldwide excluding Asia, France, Germany, Italy, and Russia.
