Crunchyroll to Delist Over 50 Anime Shows on 1st August 2020

It has been a long while since Crunchyroll had officially revealed there would be adjustments to their catalogue line-up of anime on their service. Today, they have announced that a number of older anime will be removed from their streaming service starting Saturday 1st August 2020 (and potentially even earlier than that as evidently seen in the past with some titles).

This line-up will focus more on the United Kingdom and Ireland, as select titles mentioned by Crunchyroll were region locked or have different licensing involved that will retain them for our territories.

As you can see, many of them will remain available for legal streaming through the streaming service HIDIVE. Aoharu x Machinegun and The Dragon Dentist are also planned for delisting, however the status of the UK & IE territories is unknown as they were added onto Crunchyroll thanks to UK distributor Anime Limited.

These anime were never made available in the UK & Ireland, but will also be removed:

  • Broken Blade
  • CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon
  • Engaged to the Unidentified
  • Gourmet Girl Graffiti
  • The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior
  • Magical Play
  • Majikoi Oh! Samurai Girls
  • Mashiroiro Symphony
  • MEGANEBU!
  • One Week Friends
  • Phi Brain (All Seasons)
