The second season will commence worldwide on 14th June 2019 in multiple audio and subtitle languages, as part of their Netflix Anime Originals line-up. The announcement came with a new trailer and poster visual.
The second season was officially revealed last year during an anime conference with Cannon Busters, Castlevania Season 2 and Dragon Pilot over at Anime Expo, not long after the first season had aired on the Netflix platform. The first season consists of 10 episodes that run for 15 minutes as well as a special that covers the theme of a Metal Christmas. Both the first season and the special are available to watch right now on the Netflix service (the second season will share the same show page as the first season once it goes live).
Plot synopsis via Netflix:
Frustrated with her thankless office job, Retsuko the Red Panda copes with her daily struggles by belting out death metal karaoke after work.
The 2018 series was produced by Sanrio and animated by Fanworks, who also worked on the 2016 version of Aggretsuko which ran for 100 episodes prior. Sanrio is a Japanese company best known for creating the character Hello Kitty.
At the time of this write-up, currently, no English speaking territory has acquired the home video rights for the series.
