This more grounded take on the Digimon formula proves to be the most successful to date, with a surprising amount of depth that makes it immensely enjoyable as an adult, whilst still providing all the fun, action and adventure that appeals to kids.
There are scenes in When They Cry that are certainly not for the faint-hearted but if you love a good mystery, want a good horror anime, and can look past the dated animation, this is definitely worth a watch.
And You Thought There Is Never a Girl Online? is a show that sets out with silly comedy in mind but has the depth to both educate viewers and provide an enjoyable ride at the same time. Both fans of fantasy and slice of life series will get a lot out of the show!

Despite its potential, Flip Flappers is a hard series to recommend. If you’re an avid Magical Girl fan and want something a bit different, this series might possibly fill the void, but it will only be fondly remembered by a small core audience in years to come.
