Overall, Onimonogatari places itself among my favourite entries in the Monogatari series for giving us another story with Shinobu and Araragi. You can rest assured that everything you know and love about Monogatari is still present and accounted for.

Otorimonogatari is an odd entry in the Monogatari series. Due to the toning down of the comedic aspects and use of a third person perspective, this is a very different Monogatari to the usual.

Hanamonogatari was a huge disappointment coming off the back of some incredible stories in this franchise. Kanbaru fans will likely get a lot more out of this book than I did, but otherwise there isn't a great deal to like here.

Nekomonogatari (Black) rekindled my love for the Monogatari franchise and highlights just how big an impact translation can have on light novels. This latest entry in a much loved series comes highly recommended from me.
