Netflix Exclusive Anime ‘B: The Beginning’ Launches This March
One of the official Netflix Original anime titles is coming this Q1 2018!
Kazuto Nakazawa and Production I.G have revealed new details for their upcoming original anime series B: The Beginning, originally known as Perfect Bones when it was first announced a few years ago. The series has now received an official launch date for Netflix’s service as part of their anime-produced originals line-up (which includes a select few like A.I.C.O.: Incarnation and Devilman crybaby). All 12 episodes will commence streaming exclusively on Netflix starting 2nd March 2018 worldwide in multiple languages and subtitles – that includes English & Japanese audio with English subtitles.

Staff details have been confirmed for the anime project. Kazuto Nakazawa (Director of Genius Party Beyond short “Moondrive”, Character Designer for Samurai Champloo) will be both creator, director, character designer, and chief animation director at studio Production I.G (Kuroko’s Basketball, Welcome to the Ballroom). Yoshiki Yamakawa (Hells, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) will also be directing the series alongside Nakazawa. Katsuya Ishida will be helming the script while Yoshihiro Ike (Inuyashiki Last Hero, Rage of Bahamut: Genesis) will be composing the music.
The show’s opening theme song “The Perfect World” will be performed by Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman (live-action Detroit Metal City), MAN WITH A MISSION vocalist Jean-Ken Johnny (Inuyashiki Last Hero), bassist KenKen (Space Dandy), and arrange-programmer Kōji Fujimoto (Two Car).
The voice-cast for both the original Japanese audio and the English dub have also been revealed. Anime News Network reports that the name spellings are not supposedly final.
Hiroaki Hirata (One Piece) and Ray Chase (Final Fantasy XV) will voice Keith and Dr. Flick, Yuuki Kaji (Attack on Titan) and Kyle McCarley (Mob Psycho 100) will voice Koku, Asami Seto (Selector Infected WIXOSS) and Faye Mata (Love Live! School Idol Project) will voice Lily, Hiroki Touchi (March comes in like a lion) and Jalen K. Cassell (Fate/Apocrypha) will voice Eric, and Minoru Inaba (OVERLORD) and Doug Stone (Durarara!!) will voice Boris. More cast members were listed which can be viewed on ANN’s report.
