HIDIVE is the latest legal streaming service for anime since June 2017. It has currently provided over 210 titles with over half of them offering English dubs and also other content available for premium members. The service has continued to grow and while the planned PlayStation 4 app is still in development, they will continue the trend of offering more simulcasts for the United Kingdom.
As previously stated before, Sentai Filmworks’ Autumn 2017 simulcasts continue to be made available through HIDIVE for International audiences while Amazon’s AnimeStrike tackles the United States zone. Today, we can now confirm that the eighth announced title for HIDIVE – Himouto! Umaru-chan R – will be available for streaming here in the United Kingdom and Ireland alongside South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Turkey, Italy, and Spain. Despite the first season streaming on Crunchyroll, this second season is exclusive to the HIDIVE service. Fortunately the previous season is available with an English dub right now.
Umaru Doma has a secret: in public, she’s a reserved and perfect beauty. At home, she devolves into a junk food connoisseur whose talents include video games, reading manga, watching anime, and annoying her big brother, Taihei. This season reunites Umaru with her friends: busty country girl Nana, quiet Kirie, and close nerd Sylphynford. What adventures await Umaru-chan now?
Also expected to be available through HIDIVE for the United Kingdom (but regions are currently not final) is My Girlfriend Is ShoBitch (Boku no Kanojo ga Majimesugiru Sho-bitch na Ken) but the title isn’t due until next week so we may not hear any updates until then.
Stay tuned for any more info on the latest simulcasts!
