I Hear the Sunspot is a very different work from A Silent Voice but just as worthy of your time for its characterization and bitter-sweet depiction of a nascent relationship. And the artwork is gorgeous. Recommended.

For Nadesico fans, this is a delightfully put-together box set that can provide a fun ride, but for everyone else it’s a risky investment of money and time that is not guaranteed to be worthwhile in the end.

We come to the conclusion of the Grand Magic Games arc, and it is a conclusion full of shocks and destruction.

The Boy and The Beast is as visually splendid as Summer Wars and as heart-warming as The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. It’s a highly recommended film for the whole family, full of laughs, tears and smiles.

The Boy and the Beast is a perfect film to show the whole family and while it hasn’t hit the level of Wolf Children, there is still some real charm to be found here. Not flawless but still well worth your time.

As Dragon Ball Super reaches triple digits the “Universe Survival Arc” pushes forward into relentless action as the 80-person, 8-universe battle royal continues. One universe has already been completely erased from existence by virtue of their defeat, and the seven that remain are fully aware of what results in failure. It’s a very odd scenario, even for Dragon Ball, but amazingly it manages to get even weirder with some of the new characters…

Brash and brightly coloured, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal – in spite of its Saturday morning kids’ show vibe in this 4Kids dubbed version – is decent entertainment and makes a good entry show into anime.

Tokyo Ghoul fans who have loved the world building and characters will have little reason not to pick this up; the stories are short but fun distractions that complement the series nicely.

A fun and fresh take on the shounen genre, Food Wars serves up one of the most entertaining and enjoyable anime experiences in recent memory.

Railgun's humour is still better that that of Index, but also there is some added drama to the mix.

Overall, the action in the second series of A Certain Magical Index is better than the first.

Having finished Snow White with the Red Hair, I still think it’s a very good shojo series. It doesn’t go out of its way to change what we’ve come to expect from shojo, but instead works to be one of the best shows in the genre.

Bleach continues its path towards completion as Volume 70 hits UK shelves. Battles between enemies and allies, Quincy and Shinigami, and a certain mad scientist gets to have one more insane "I thought of this impossible scenario beforehand" fight!
