However, it fails to execute on its potential as it struggles with poor pacing, gaping plot holes, and finding an ending for its characters.

While this release may be lacking some of the extras that the US release has, the film itself certainly deserves its Oscar nomination.

Welcome to the Ballroom applies the sports anime formula to competitive ballroom dancing with great success, filling the screen with beautiful dance work and character drama. Despite Anime Limited's release being very bare-bones, this is show anyone can have a lot of fun with.

This fantasy epic will leave you with tears in your eyes.
