Overall Pokémon Black & White Movie Collection is a mixed bag. Older Pokémon fans like me will be left wanting for much better content and days gone by when Pokémon movies were actively good, but the younger/newer audience are more likely to get a kick out of Ash’s latest adventures.
Big Fish and Begonia is a breakthrough film in the still-emerging Chinese animation field, but is there anything beyond the admittedly jaw-dropping visuals to make it worth your time and money?
Fate/Extra Last Encore is an unusual addition to the Fate anime line-up so far - however it's worth the time to stream if you’re a Fate fan and keep your expectations low.
Overall this live action adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul is an enjoyable watch. It doesn’t necessarily have the same pull as the original manga or its anime adaption but for existing fans it’s interesting to see the story adapted in a different way.
It’s a shame that this release lacks the Japanese track, and the Blu-ray conversion is far from perfect, but if you’ve been dying to update your old DVD copy, or have never acquainted yourself with Vampire Hunter D, there’s never been a better time.
